New course DSC598 Strategic Design Futures, Spring 2021

Associate professor and Transformation Lab director Mauricio Mejía will teach a new course DSC598 Strategic Design Futures in Spring 2021. In this course, students will understand and practice exploring a variety of strategic design methods and mindsets with the aim of changing and envisioning futures. We will work on skills such as sensemaking, foresight, collaboration and prototyping. The course is offered to design and non-design students.

Half of the course will have seminar discussions and half of the course will include hands on activities with a “live project.” For this the course will collaborate with the project “Designing Primary Care for the Future,” which is part of the parnership ASU-Dignity Health. The projec is led by prof. Gerri Lamb at ASU’s Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation.
