Catalina Cortes

PhD Student

Catalina Cortes is a PhD student in the Design, Environment, and the Arts program at Arizona State University and an Assistant Professor at the Design School of Universidad del Desarrollo in Chile. She holds a bachelor's degree in design from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and obtained an MSD from ASU. She has extensive experience teaching design at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Catalina Cortes is a certified design facilitator by The Index Project (https://theindexproject.org/) and a member of the International Advisory Council of the DRS (https://www.designresearchsociety.org/). Her research interests include design education, design for sustainable behavior, sustainability literacy and communication, sustainable lifestyles, and service design for sustainable behavior.
