Journal article on design process' activities

In my new open source article at the DIID Journal, Dr. Mejía writes a short visual essay exploring the historical expansion of design activities from trade to strategy. The article explains that there is no standard design method; every situation requires a distinct design process with a series of design activities that may change significantly. The design process is non-linear, messy, and iterative. Design activities increase in number, intensity, and commitment proportionally to the ethical responsibility of the design and the complexity of the situation.
