Grant for designing health information systems in Zimbabwe
Next academic year Dr. Mejía will join two health researchers, Dr. Brad Doebbeling an Dr. Allie Peckham to study and propose how to design health information systems in Zimbabwe. In sub-Saharan areas of Africa, people have limited access to health care. We will work with medical stakeholders in Zimbabwe to first understand decision-making and clinical challenges and second co-design with them alternatives to make health information accessible using technology and best practices. The EcoVida Foundation has funded the project "Health Information Needs for the Population Health System in Zimbabwe" with a $339K grant.
